Safe Internet League wants Gugl acknowledged Google’s unit
MOSCOW, Mar 18 (PRIME) -- Non-commercial partnership Safe Internet League intends to ask the law enforcement and tax agencies to acknowledge Russia-registered firm OOO Gugl affiliated with U.S. giants Google and YouTube, the league’s head Yekaterina Mizulina told PRIME on Thursday.
“In Russia, firm OOO Gugl works and draws up invoices for video hosting YouTube advertisements and other services to the people and companies. At thatm, OOO Gugl’s representatives publicly state that they bear no responsibility for the decisions and actions of companies Google and YouTube,” Mizulina said.
“It is still a question whether OOO Gugl pays taxes to Russia’s budget and where the cash received from the sales of advertisements and provision of other services to the users on the territory of our country goes. It’s high time we acknowledge OOO Gugl an affiliate or a related firm of YouTube and Google.”
